Marketing Assistant, Baker Academic & Brazos Press (Michigan office)

About this position:
Baker Publishing Group is accepting applications for the position of Marketing Assistant. This position’s objective is to support the marketing administration needs of Baker Academic & Brazos Press through advertising, list building, textbook marketing support, and data and analytics gathering.
Examples of responsibilities include overseeing the execution of all Baker Academic & Brazos Press advertising, including managing outside partnerships with journals, magazines, and online platforms; coordinating ad routing and digital asset creation; tracking key metrics from online, social media, and email advertising; identifying new advertising opportunities; assisting in creating and maintaining academic lists; researching and building a database of textbook adoptions by school; and gathering and reporting key data and analytics. The Marketing Assistant will also be assigned other ongoing marketing and publicity tasks in support of our strategic goals.
- Prior office/administrative experience preferred
- Proven organizational abilities, follow-through, and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Compensation and Benefits:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a full-time position, benefits offered include health, dental, vision, group life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, 401(k) after three months, and others.
