1. What do you make of the letters written to the seven churches in the beginning of Revelation? Why might these have been included in this document?
2. Ideas found in Isaiah appear to be behind much of the content of Revelation 21–22. Using the chapter as a guide, where do you see Isaiah’s influence there?
3. What genre is Revelation? How might knowledge of its genre influence the way we read and interpret it?
4. What are the basic ways of understanding the millennial language found in Revelation 20:1–6? Which one seems to fit the evidence best in your opinion and why?
5. The chapter ends with a discussion about whether or not a document that is apocalyptic deserves to be in the NT. What do you think and why?
